Another priceless moment living with an Autistic child

Each day is a challenge and always brings me joy.

He’s now 4 and half years old and we have been struggling to potty-train him for a very long time. Now most people would frown on a kid this age to still be on a nappy but those who have special needs kids would understand. Everything with them is a huge challenge and nothing comes easy. The simplest milestones don’t come as easy.

This week has been a major accomplishment, he finally does a number 2 on the toilet and successfully goes to the toilet on his own and calls you once he is done doing his thing.

The funny, priceless moment I have experienced today is this. He goes to the bathroom, stands in front of the loo and says :”Ready, Aim, FIRE” before he relieves himself. This in his very gruff voice and yet his speech is not at the normal stage of an average 4.5 year old. So its priceless that he cant speak thoroughly but can say this at the almost appropriate time.

You have to love him.
